Jurassic Park River Adventure
Board a river raft to take a leisurely tour through the waterways of Jurassic Park, observing the friendly herbivores that reside there. All goes well until disaster strikes and the dinos escape from their enclosures and youre forced to escape down an 85-foot water flume.
Pteranodon Flyers
This attraction is unique to Universal in that it is specifically designed for kids between 36 and 56 inches tall. Adults can only hop on if they are accompanied by a passenger who meets this height requirement, so mostly youll see adults riding with their kids. Flyers lets you soar around Jurassic Park just like a pteranodon, taking in the views of the surrounding area and the lagoon.
Camp Jurassic
Explore the humongous play area of Camp Jurassic, and you will feel like youre on your very own prehistoric adventure. Climb the rope bridges, explore the wood-plank pathways, shoot the dino water cannons, and escape through the raptor enclosure. This space is large and overgrown with tropical foliage, so stick close to your kiddos as you navigate the playground.
Ride Jurassic Park River Adventure
After meeting a Velociraptor, its time to visit some of the other dinos on the island. This is also about the time youll want to prepare for a little bit of a splash. Jurassic Park River Adventure is one of my favorite rides in the park as it is a nice boat ride next to some incredible dinosaurs. But of course, it isnt a theme park ride if it all goes according to plan. Toward the end of the ride, youre bumped off course and end up meeting with some more Raptors before coming face to face with a Tyrannosaurus rex AND an 85 foot drop on Jurassic Park River Adventure. PRO TIP: If you want to dry off quickly, there are huge dryers you can purchase time in at the exit of the attraction or if you want to get more soaked, you can head to the side of the attraction for a huge splash zone.
Ride Jurassic World Velocicoaster
Head to the all-new Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Its the incredible new roller coaster that puts you right in the middle of a Raptor paddock. The rides backstory places you into Jurassic World before the arrival of the Indominus Rex . Claire Dearing has been tasked with adding more teeth to the park. so shes had this incredible roller coaster built. And boy, is it thrilling! 10/10 for me. Places To Eat In Jurassic Park At Universal Studios:
There are a bunch of cute stands scattered throughout Jurassic Park at Universal Studios. We had purchased the refillable mug and you could get your refills there. From quick snacks to hot dogs, there was generally something for everyone.
But our favorite place to eat was the Pizza Predattoria. They had the best personal-sized pizzas that were so good, even my fussy youngest son ate them without complaining.
The other bonus was there was a refill station on the side and the restrooms were only a few steps away!

The Best Jurassic World And Jurassic Park Souvenirs At Universal Orlando Resort
Deep in the far reaches of Universals Islands of Adventure, youll come upon a land covered in lush vegetation and inhabited with dinosaurs of both ferocious and gentle demeanors. Welcome to Jurassic Park.
This area is themed to both the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films, complete with rides, restaurants, entertainment and did I mention dinosaurs? Its like youre walking right into the parks from the movies, and like any good theme park, there are awesome souvenirs to take home.
Ive put together the following shopping guide to help you hunt down that perfect Jurassic gift for yourself, friends, or family, along with where to find them and a few shopping tips sprinkled in.

Play In Camp Jurassic
Across from Jurassic Park River Adventure is Camp Jurassic. This is a perfect place to take the little ones who have a lot of energy. It is a mult-level, prehistoric playground with dark caves, amber mines, climb dinosaur-capture nets, and swaying suspension bridges. Listen close for the roar of dinosaurs!
This is also home to an exclusive attraction at Universal Orlando Resort called Pteranodon Flyers. This ride is perfect for the little ones as they soar high above Jurassic Park on a slow moving ride. The kids are buckled in and lifted up in the air with their feet dangling as they smoothly glide over Jurassic Park. For this two-seater ride, an adult must ride behind with a child so if you arent visiting with a child under 48 inches, you wont be able to ride this attraction. But if youre able to, its an absolute blast. My 4-year-old nephew absolutely loved taking turns with me and my sister as he took in the views of Jurassic Park.
PRO TIP: If you do have little ones who arent tall enough for Jurassic World VelociCoaster or Jurassic Park River Adventure, Id recommend doing your own version of child swap. One adult can take the little ones to Camp Jurassic while the other adults ride Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Jurassic Park River Adventure. Its a great way to let the kids run around and let out some energy.
Jurassic World Dominion Takes Over Universal Studios Store At Universal Studios Florida

The Universal Studios Store at Universal Studios Florida has received a Jurassic makeover for the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion film.
The outside of the store has wraps on the windows and banners hanging from the walls.
Each set of windows has two dinosaurs and the Jurassic World Dominion logo pictured against a dark forest background.
The banners above each feature the logo and one dino.
The dinosaurs are mostly caught in action roaring.
One window does have two raptors on it together.

Jurassic World Raptor Egg Popcorn Bucket Hatches In Universal Orlando Resort

Another new popcorn bucket has landed in Universal Studios Florida. We caught this hatching raptor egg popcorn bucket at the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk.
The popcorn bucket features a speckled egg design with the Jurassic World logo in gold on the front. A baby dinosaur hangs from the top of the cracked egg.
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Many Jurassic Park fans don’t know this, but Jurassic Park River Adventure is based on a scene from Michael Crichton’s 1990 best-seller “Jurassic Park”, the novel upon which Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic is based. The scene in question never made it to the film, but now survives in the form of this thrilling log flume ride.
In the book, Dr. Alan Grant, Lex Murphy, and Tim Murphy attempt to reach the visitor center using an inflatable boat, during which they’re stalked by the tyrannosaurus rex. In the Universal Studios Orlando version, however, you’ll see all sorts of dinosaurs, including brachiosaurs, stegosaurs, compys, parasaurs, and velociraptors.
After starting out in your raft with fellow guests, you’ll pass through the watery haven of Hadrosaur Cove, but it won’t belong before things go awry. Soon, you’ll encounter compys and raptors, before your raft enters a dark facility, where you’ll face the wrath of the mighty t-rex, before plunging down a 85-foot drop!

When we say orange, we mean orange. The cap is a bright almost-neon orange color. The patch on the front shows off the Jurassic World logo. Claw marks are visible within, along with faux rust colors.
The sides also feature claw marks attached, with rust marks dripping from below.

Jurassic Outfitters
After you ride Jurassic Park River Adventure youll find yourself in this store, which is located right across from Camp Jurassic. This is the largest Jurassic store where you can find a huge selection of merchandise from toys and collectibles to themed apparel and drinkware.
Shopping Tip: One of my tips for this store is to look around at the details. Youll find behind-the-scenes photos from the movie, the mosquito sealed in amber at the checkout counter, and even some of the shelving units are made to look like the boats you ride in Jurassic Park River Adventure.
Dinostore
Its all in the name. Dinostore is your go-to shop for all things dinosaurs. You can get all your Jurassic loot here along with toys, apparel, collectibles, and even fossil replicas and beautiful amber jewelry. Located in the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, stop by to peruse the shelves after watching a Raptor hatch or devouring a burger and fries from The Burger Digs.

Shopping Tip: If you do buy a few things in the theme parks, you can take advantage of Package Pick-Up and Delivery. This service allows you to have your purchases sent to a pick-up location at the front of the park or back to your hotel. Just ask a Team Member for help when youre checking out.

Jurassic World Isla Nublar Ipa
For the adults out there looking to cool down, even after taking a plunge on the Jurassic Park: River Adventure, look for the Jurassic World Isla Nublar IPA.
This light and refreshing IPA was named after the fictional island from the franchise.
Universal fans went wild when this beer first became available. The beer tap features the scene from Jurassic World when a Mosasaurus chomps down on a great white shark. According to the beer sharing website UNTAPPD, the beer is described as having flavors of natural orange, Citra, mosaic hops and yeast. We can only hope this drink stays around for 45-million more years. You can find this beer around Jurassic Park at Islands of Adventure.
The smaller size costs $11, plus tax. The souvenir glass will cost $14, plus tax.

New Jurassic World Raptor Egg Popcorn Bucket Now Available At Universal Orlando And Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Parks has released a new Jurassic World Raptor Egg Popcorn bucket at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.
The popcorn bucket is a raptor egg that features a baby raptor hatching from the top.
The bucket is available at Universal Orlando for $25 . Over in Universal Studios Hollywood, the bucket is available for $28.99 .
And yes, the amber Jurassic World logo on the front lights up.

What Attractions Can You Find
The main attraction: the River Adventure. Riders beware, you WILL get wet. Best to leave your stuff with non-riders and have some clothes to change into. We found out there is no safe seat!
And, one of my favorites, the Raptor Encounter.
Meet Keelo. This clever girl was up to no good the day we visited. See her eyeing everyone up?
I wasnt paying close enough attention, and she decided I was looking like I would make a good snack. Uh, no girl, you dont want to eat me!
She found it hilarious that I thought my entire family would protect me. Actually, she was just being a ham for the camera. Beware though, she has some horrible breath!
There are plenty of places to get some souvenirs to remember your trip. For me, it was all about the t-shirts. I did want to take Keelo home with me, but my family didnt think our yard was big enough for her to run around. Party poopers!
