Where Do I Find The Entrance To Jurassic Park
As you exit the Hogsmeade attraction, the first thing you see is the iconic gate.
Every time we walk through, and I mean every time, my husband would always quote Ian Malcolm: What have they got in there, King Kong?. Made us laugh every time!
If you keep walking through, you will eventually meet up with my favorite gal. Say hello to Rexy.
My kids thought I was nuts because I took close to 15 pictures just of her. I cant help it, she was always my favorite in the movies. I wouldnt want to run into her in a dark jungle, though.
Dry Off If You Need To
You can get pretty wet when riding on the Jurassic Park River Adventure attraction, and we know it can be a miserable day if youre stuck in wet clothes all day. Around Jurassic Outfitters, you will find drying stations where you can purchase a session to stand in one of the giant dryers and air yourself out.
Experience The Thrill Of Velocicoaster
The resorts latest addition is the new apex predator of coasters Jurassic World VelociCoaster.
Definitely one for the adrenaline junkies, it catapults riders 155ft into the air and speeds through the futuristic, yet prehistoric, park at up to 70mph.
Located within Universals Islands of Adventure, once in the queue, the scene is set with riders coming up close to velociraptors as they wander through dinosaur research labs before getting strapped in ready for the action.
VelociCoaster boasts 360-degree inversions, an 80-degree drop and steep inclines, not that any of this matters once youre aboard.
No amount of knowledge of the 4,700ft track could prepare you for the thrill of this unmatched rollercoaster.
For me, the first time round was a gripping blur which made me want to ride it again. Second time, I was able to fully appreciate the detailing of the coaster, including speeding through the raptor paddock, sweeping inches above the lagoon and narrowly avoiding the jaws of a gnashing raptor.
Other themed rides for dino lovers include Jurassic Park River Adventure a raft ride with an eight-storey plunge and the kid-friendly Pteranodon Flyers. At the Jurassic Park Discovery Centre you can find dinosaurs, test your DNA, play a trivia game and maybe even witness a baby velociraptor hatch.

Peruse The Discovery Center
The name doesnt lie: theres plenty to discover at this interactive center! Have you ever wondered what kind of dinosaur you would have been? Here you can put your DNA to the test and find out! And if you have a competitive streak, youll want to challenge your friends to a match of the hilarious trivia game You Bet Jurassic! If youre really lucky, you may even get to witness a baby Velociraptor hatch.
Where Is Jurassic Park Located
Jurassic Park River Adventure
Board a river raft to take a leisurely tour through the waterways of Jurassic Park, observing the friendly herbivores that reside there. All goes well until disaster strikes and the dinos escape from their enclosures and youre forced to escape down an 85-foot water flume.
Pteranodon Flyers
This attraction is unique to Universal in that it is specifically designed for kids between 36 and 56 inches tall. Adults can only hop on if they are accompanied by a passenger who meets this height requirement, so mostly youll see adults riding with their kids. Flyers lets you soar around Jurassic Park just like a pteranodon, taking in the views of the surrounding area and the lagoon.
Camp Jurassic
Explore the humongous play area of Camp Jurassic, and you will feel like youre on your very own prehistoric adventure. Climb the rope bridges, explore the wood-plank pathways, shoot the dino water cannons, and escape through the raptor enclosure. This space is large and overgrown with tropical foliage, so stick close to your kiddos as you navigate the playground.

Jurassic World Dominion Takes Over Universal Studios Store At Universal Studios Florida

The Universal Studios Store at Universal Studios Florida has received a Jurassic makeover for the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion film.
The outside of the store has wraps on the windows and banners hanging from the walls.
Each set of windows has two dinosaurs and the Jurassic World Dominion logo pictured against a dark forest background.
The banners above each feature the logo and one dino.
The dinosaurs are mostly caught in action roaring.
One window does have two raptors on it together.

Merchandise At Universal Studios Jurassic Park
A trip to Jurassic Park in Florida would not be complete without bringing home a souvenir or two to remember all of the wild times! And you can only imagine with not only Jurassic Park, but also Jurassic World at Universal Studios Orlando what kind of merchandise youll find. There are three shops currently in Jurassic Park at Universal Studios spread out throughout the land.
Are There Guest Services Available In Jurassic Park
Restrooms
Restrooms in Jurassic Park are located by Pizza Predattoria, next to Jurassic Park River Adventure.
Lockers
Lockers are available for a price outside River Adventure. Riders might want to consider getting one of these to protect anything they dont want to get wet. The lockers are $4 for the first 90 minutes, and $3 for each hour after that.
First aid
The nearest first aid location is over in the Lost Continent section of the park.
ATMs
Youll find an ATM at the Jurassic Outfitters shop, next to River Adventure.

Jurassic Park Fans Should Run To Universal Orlando
Were nearing the theatrical release of a movie that will once again bring Jurassic beasts into modern times.
Of course, were talking about the Jurassic World Dominion movie, which premieres on June 10th! And while some may celebrate the occasion with a ride or two on Universal Orlandos VelociCoaster, others may want to bite into the fun!

There are a bunch of cute stands scattered throughout Jurassic Park at Universal Studios. We had purchased the refillable mug and you could get your refills there. From quick snacks to hot dogs, there was generally something for everyone.
But our favorite place to eat was the Pizza Predattoria. They had the best personal-sized pizzas that were so good, even my fussy youngest son ate them without complaining.
The other bonus was there was a refill station on the side and the restrooms were only a few steps away!

Jurassic Park River Adventure
Many Jurassic Park fans don’t know this, but Jurassic Park River Adventure is based on a scene from Michael Crichton’s 1990 best-seller “Jurassic Park”, the novel upon which Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic is based. The scene in question never made it to the film, but now survives in the form of this thrilling log flume ride.
In the book, Dr. Alan Grant, Lex Murphy, and Tim Murphy attempt to reach the visitor center using an inflatable boat, during which they’re stalked by the tyrannosaurus rex. In the Universal Studios Orlando version, however, you’ll see all sorts of dinosaurs, including brachiosaurs, stegosaurs, compys, parasaurs, and velociraptors.
After starting out in your raft with fellow guests, you’ll pass through the watery haven of Hadrosaur Cove, but it won’t belong before things go awry. Soon, you’ll encounter compys and raptors, before your raft enters a dark facility, where you’ll face the wrath of the mighty t-rex, before plunging down a 85-foot drop!

What Is Jurassic Park
Overgrown plant life and the sounds of prowling predators greet guests who pass through the massive stone gateway into a modern take on prehistoric times welcome to Jurassic Park, an island based on the blockbuster book and movie series, in which humans have recreated living, breathing dinosaurs by using DNA taken from fossilized dino blood.
Children of all ages will love Camp Jurassic, a dinosaur-themed playground featuring caverns, water cannons, slides, and climbing nets. Dino fans also have the opportunity to come face-to-face with a T-rex on Jurassic Park River Adventure or have their picture taken with Blue the velociraptor in Raptor Encounter. To make your visit an educational one, stop by the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, a dinosaur museum filled with exhibits, activities, and life-sized dino replicas.

Jurassic Park Oi Fun Facts
Jurassic Park: The Ride first opened in Universal Studios Hollywood in 1996 before it was brought to Islands of Adventure in 1999 as an opening-day attraction, sporting a new name . The ride takes its inspiration from a scene in the first Jurassic Park novel, where Dr. Alan Grant, Tim, and Lexi escape from the rampaging dinos on a river raft.
After a 10-month closure over in California, Universal reopened the attraction in 2019 as Jurassic World: The Ride, with new animatronics and special effects based on the Jurassic World movies. Universal Orlando Resort itself has slowly been getting in on the World game, as well, first with Raptor Encounter and, now, with the still-under-construction Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

The Velocicoaster Theme Is Dino
In addition to its physical thrills, VelociCoaster amps up the tension and layers on the psychological mind games with its pre-ride storytelling.
Entering Jurassic Worlds labyrinth industrial complex, guests pass a life-size statue depicting the raptor pack quartet of Delta, Charlie, Echo, and Blue. Goofy Mr. DNA reprises his role from the “Jurassic Park” movies to inform visitors that theyll be encountering real, live raptors. But the animated genetic strand assures them that they have nothing to fear.
Foreshadowing the calamitous action that awaits them, viewing windows provide a glimpse of the trains blasting past followed by raptors in pursuit. Cue the adrenal glands.
Dr. Henry Wu greets guests in the Raptor Training Room and spews nonsense about paleo-veterinary science in advance of face-to-snout encounters with strikingly lifelike raptors. Confined in harnesses and obviously itching to break free, the animatronic creatures certainly look and sound menacing. And the snorts of dino breath they emit only ratchet up the anxiety.
Before entering the loading station, guests eavesdrop on a deeply skeptical Owen Grady disrupting Operations Manager Claire Dearing as she prattles on in perky park-speak about how youll be kept safe during your coaster-enhanced meetup with the raptor gang. What could possibly go wrong?

Jurassic Park: The Ride is a water-based amusement ride based on the Steven Spielberg 1993 film Jurassic Park and Michael Crichton‘s 1990 located at Universal Orlando‘s Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida and Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, Japan. It was formerly located at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California, where it was turned into Jurassic World: The Ride.
The ride was researched and built as the film was still in production and opened at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 21, 1996. Duplicates of the ride have since been built at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Japan as Jurassic Park River Adventure. A river rapids ride version, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, opened at Universal Studios Singapore in 2010.

Play In Camp Jurassic
Across from Jurassic Park River Adventure is Camp Jurassic. This is a perfect place to take the little ones who have a lot of energy. It is a mult-level, prehistoric playground with dark caves, amber mines, climb dinosaur-capture nets, and swaying suspension bridges. Listen close for the roar of dinosaurs!
This is also home to an exclusive attraction at Universal Orlando Resort called Pteranodon Flyers. This ride is perfect for the little ones as they soar high above Jurassic Park on a slow moving ride. The kids are buckled in and lifted up in the air with their feet dangling as they smoothly glide over Jurassic Park. For this two-seater ride, an adult must ride behind with a child so if you arent visiting with a child under 48 inches, you wont be able to ride this attraction. But if youre able to, its an absolute blast. My 4-year-old nephew absolutely loved taking turns with me and my sister as he took in the views of Jurassic Park.
PRO TIP: If you do have little ones who arent tall enough for Jurassic World VelociCoaster or Jurassic Park River Adventure, Id recommend doing your own version of child swap. One adult can take the little ones to Camp Jurassic while the other adults ride Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Jurassic Park River Adventure. Its a great way to let the kids run around and let out some energy.
