Jurassic World 3 Streaming Options
As of this writing, the only way to see Jurassic World: Dominion is in movie theaters. However we live in an age where the pipeline for new movies to get to streaming services is speedier than ever. Universal Studios has a streaming deal with NBC, meaning many of its movies will end up exclusively on the Peacock streaming service. Most films with exclusive theatrical releases have a 45-day window before they go online, but a source told The Hollywood Reporter in late 2021 that Jurassic World: Dominion was unlikely to get such a fast turnaround. Generally speaking, the better a movie is doing at the box office, the more tempted a studio might be to prolong its exclusive run in theaters. And Jurassic World: Dominion is one of Universals biggest films of the year.
Unfortunately, this means that we could be waiting up to four months for Jurassic World: Dominion to hit Peacock. Those projections put it out right around October 2022, per Newsweek. Until we get an official Jurassic World 3 streaming release date, well be keeping an eye out.

As detailed above, the home release features an extended version of the movie, providing 14 extra minutes of dinosaur action and an alternative opening, which is likely to be the prologue which was previously released online and in IMAX.

The original film revolutionized visual effects back in the day. After 30 years, weve gone from 15 minutes of dinosaur footage in the first film, relying on a combination of animatronics and CG, to having full shots of dinosaurs every couple of minutes, said one film blog reviewer.
Its safe to say that Dominion is for the dinosaur aficionados featuring 27 species that are bound to delight viewers and making it the highest dino-per-scene ratio within the Jurassic titles, per The Lamplight Review.
Unfortunately, a whole lot of the movies 2-hour and 26-minute run time isnt about dinosaurs, but when the prehistoric creatures are on-screen, its impossible not to have a good time, said ComicBook reviewer Jamie Jirak.

Jurassic World Dominion is co-written by Trevorrow and Emily Carmichael. The movie also brings BD Wong back to the series as D. Henry Wu, as well as Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, and Danielle Pineda as Dr Zia Rodriguez. Dominion introduces new characters to the series, too, like Mamoudou Athie as Ramsay Cole and DeWanda Wise as Kayla Watts.

This also means Jurassic World Dominion happens 29 years after the original Jurassic Park.
Interestingly, the Jurassic Park theme park never actually opened as planned in the 1990s. It wasn’t until Masrani Global Corporation bought InGen that the park opened, and rebranded as Jurassic World, in 2005. Jurassic World operated for 10 years as a successful tourist destination until the Indominus Rex incident forced the park to permanently close in 2015.

Is Jurassic World Dominion Worth The Watch
As the early reviews indicate, critics dont like it much, but the audience has found it more enjoyable. Franchise buffs will have plenty of easter eggs and shoutouts from previous films to hunt for.
The nostalgia alone can act as a service to the fans. Pair that with big, prehistoric creatures running around, and Jurassic World Dominion can be a good film to watch over the weekend.
Ultimately, Acuna from Insider said it best: Viewers dont care if these films are good or bad. Audiences just want a fun romp at theaters and Dominion delivers.
A Mixed Bag Of Old And New Characters
This final Jurassic era film explores this question as two generations of characters unite for a whole new adventure Owen and Claire team up with Dr. Ellie Sattler , Dr. Alan Grant and Ian Malcom from the original Jurassic Park series to save humanity, as the Deseret News previously reported.
Both Neill and Dern get plenty of screentime in their return to the franchise after 30 years. But one of the most popular characters this time around is played by DeWanda Wise, who steals the show with her spunky portrayal of a former Air Force pilot, Kayla Watts, said Movie Manias Casey Chong.

Many reviews point out that Jurassic World Dominion is actually an improvement from its last installment, Fallen Kingdom.
It recovers well from the pitfalls within Fallen Kingdom to deliver a far more entertaining conclusion, said critic Edward Douglas at The Weekend Warrior.
Other reviewers argue that this film may be the best installment since the very first Jurassic Park movie.

Will Jurassic World Dominion Be The Last Movie In The Franchise
Theres certainly a sense of finality to Jurassic World: Dominion, as Trevorrow previously told EW the movie serves as a culmination of all six films:
“To me, is a culmination of one story that’s been told. When you got to the end of the Jurassic Park trilogy, it may not have been as clear in what the complete story of those three movies was because they were a bit more episodic in the way that they were approached. But this trilogy is not that way. It’s very much a serialized story. What was important for me was, when you watch Dominion, you really feel like you are learning how much of a story that first set of movies was and how everything that happened in those movies actually informs what ultimately is able to happen in this. If kids who are born today are going to be presented with six Jurassic Park movies you hope the parents will buy them the box set you hope they are going to get to feel like they watch one long story.”
However, producer Frank Marshall previously confirmed to Collider that Jurassic World: Dominion is far from the end of the franchise, saying a flat-out no when asked if this was the end fo the road and adding that its hopefully the start of a new era.
So while Jurassic World: Dominion may very well be the end of something, expect more Jurassic World movies to follow perhaps with different casts.

Dominion was written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, alongside Derek Connolly and Trevorrow, and the story follows the aftermath of the events in Fallen Kingdom. Set four years after the dinosaurs escaped the Nubal Isle destruction, they are now all over the world and, of course, represent a serious threat to human kind.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movies runtime is 2 hours and 26 minutes . Its by far the longest movie of the franchise: Jurassic Park , The Lost World: Jurassic Park , Jurassic Park III , Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom .
While Dominion might not be a critical success, its expected to be a box office hit with a projected $125 million in the US and Canada for its opening weekend. The film, distributed by Universal Pictures, will also have a theatrical run in China, which could elevate the earnings.

Trevorrow announced on that Edinburgh University palaeontologist Steve Brusatte has been brought on to the consulting for the film, and he also revealed to Screen Rant that there are “no hybrids in this movie,” which means all the dinos involved have walked the Earth at some point. “I really wanted to focus on dinosaurs that really existed. Thats what made me fall in love with this franchise in the first place… Real dinosaurs are awesome they dont need to be hybrids to be awesome,” he added.
He also said that we can expect to see the Giganotosaurus again, after it showed up in the IMAX preview: “The Giganotosaurus as you can imagine, I wouldn’t do the audience like that by just showing the Giganotosaurus taking out the T-Rex and never seeing it again. So that’s going to be a major player going forward. It’s a pretty badass dinosaur, that thing.”
