The Bronx Zoo is open year-round. We close on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and Martin Luther King Day. Spring and summer are naturally high-attendance seasons, but we encourage guests to visit during fall and winter as well. When the weather cools off, many animals are more active and you’ll encounter fewer crowds.
With 265 acres of wildlife habitats and attractions, it’s difficult to see the entire zoo in one day. For shorter visits, take a two-hour tour of our most popular exhibits, like Tiger Mountain, Himalayan Highlands, Congo Gorilla Forest, and World of Reptiles. During the warmer months, guests with young children can begin their visit at the Children’s Zoo and then stroll Astor Court to meet our sea lions and visit Madagascar! In wintertime, warm up in JungleWorld, our giant indoor rainforest habitat.
My Kids Loved The Dinosaur Safari But Its Super Expensive
I have been in zoos around the world where you can see more animals! This zoo though has invested in the more digital experience of the guests. It is more like a Universal studio tour with some live animals. The Dinosaur safari is one of these amazing experiences! The cost was huge though! I paid $280 for 4 adults and 3 kids! Too much money for a visit to the zoo…

Wonderful collection and very good Educational & conservation values. We were visiting New York and this was a highight .
It was early spring so some of the animal were not out and about, but a good day at a beautiful park.
We had been looking to fit this into our busy schedules what a wonderful and unique experience We found the layout a bit confusing so the map was good to have handy it was easy to get great views of all the exhibits and the variety was substantial with unique exhibits Being seniors we found the walking to be a bit taxing by the end of the day but we were able to take in the entire park and didnt miss a thing. We took about 7 hrs to tour the park and found it was a wise choice to bring along beverages and snacks
